First Earthrise over Moon recreated

In 1968, the crew of Apollo 8 became the first humans to witness and photograph the Earth appearing to rise over the horizon of the moon. 
In 2012, NASA has used data from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to show the experience in stunning detail.
